JD Hardy aka, The Bad Boy From Bakersfield

My songs are inspired from my personal life experiences including past and present.

I wrote 'It's That Time Again,’ when I was coming out of a divorce. I was reminding myself of who I was and who I am. I decided to get back out there! ~ JD Hardy

Known as the bad boy from the oil fields of Bakersfield, California, JD Hardy blends traditional country sounds with a southern rock edge. He has shared stages with well known artists such as Mark Chesnutt, Randy Houser, Trace Adkins, Tyler Farr, and Easton Corbin!

JD's musical talent ran thick in the fam; his grand mom, Wanda Lou, and dad, Jack, were singers. The first concert Hardy had ever attended was the performance of his grandmother explaining; "I guess you could say I was ‘born into it’.

During one lucky and drunk night in a bar, JD decided to sing karaoke. He immediately caught the eye, and ear, of industry icon, Ray Ruff. (Ray has worked with artists such as George Strait, Hank Jr. and Dwight Yoakam). You never know who you are performing for!!! Ray asked Hardy to call him the next day. Hardy and Ray connected, resulting in a signed contract with Oak Records. Hardy continued; "Within the last 2 months of announcement, Ray passed away and we walked away from the release”. In 2007, Hardy moved on to become a member of the Castle Records roster, where he released his debut single entitled, "Rebels With A Cause” followed by, "Country Saves Me”.

Hardy celebrated the release of his newest album "KILLER”, in 2021. On this album, you can expect nine tracks ranging from love songs to blue-collar anthems. He is currently preparing for his 2022 tour, and positioning to release his next single, and the official video for, "Let Her Run.” Hardy explained his inspiration behind the song; "I wrote 'Let Her Run,’ in just five minutes [at the beginning of 2021]. I was in a relationship with a great person and often compared her to my past relationship. Sometimes, you just have to let them run it out”.

JD may have had one lucky night in a bar but guaranteed, he has worked his tail off to become who he is today. He’s not just the bad boy from Bakersfield, he is the next country music sensation! Until Next Time…Stay Golden Team!
