Beyoncé’s long-awaited seventh solo album, Renaissance, was finally revealed early on Thursday, June 16, when all of her social media accounts were updated. The album is set to be released next month on July 29. #music #new
Beyoncé updated her bio on all of her social media accounts, which reads "act i…RENAISSANCE…7.29,” as well as the social media links to her website.
She also announced early Monday morning that she would be releasing the first single from the album, "Break My Soul” at midnight ET on June 21. Much like her announcement of the album, she did so by updating her social media accounts.
There isn’t much else known about the album as of yet, but the subtitle, "act i,” seems to suggest that this album may be a part of a larger project.
Although Beyoncé has steadily been releasing projects in the last couple of years, this will be her first solo album since the release of Lemonade in 2016. To say everyone is excited for this next project is an understatement.
Since Lemonade, Beyoncé has released other work, including Everything Is Love (2018) alongside her husband; Homecoming: The Live Album (2019); The Lion King: The Gift (2019); and the songs "Black Parade” (2020) and "Be Alive” (2021).
On-top of the album release news, Beyoncé graced us with new photos from her July cover shoot with British Vogue, where she looked stunning as always.
Edward Enninful, editor-in-chief of British Vogue, described her new music as "Music that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul.”
This new album will mark a new evolution for Beyoncé and it will surely be a massive hit like much of her other work.
